The Bernico story
It started as freelance work in 2023, just one person helping a few business owners make sense of their paperwork and accounts.
But the same problem kept showing up. Business owners were stretched thin, not because they lacked drive, but because running a business comes with an invisible second job: payroll, compliance, HR, administration, each with its own deadlines, its own rules, its own consequences if missed.
Nobody had time for it. And nobody was coordinating it all.
That became Bernico's purpose.
We registered in 2024 and built a team that genuinely cares, professionals who take pride in getting things right the first time, so our clients don't have to worry about what's falling through the cracks.
In early 2026, we added ISO management systems to our services, and later that year incorporated as Bernico Solutions Sdn Bhd, a small but meaningful milestone that reflects how far we've come and where we're headed.
Today we're a back-office partner for SMEs across Malaysia. Not the biggest firm. Just the one that shows up, remembers your deadlines, and treats your business like it matters.

Bernice leads Bernico with a clear purpose: to make business support smarter, simpler, and more human. With 9 years of experience in the banking industry and 10 years working with SMEs, she brings a deep understanding of both corporate precision and entrepreneurial agility.
Her strong background in finance and operations ensures every client experience reflects accuracy, efficiency, and care. Her passion lies in building a flexible, people-first workplace that empowers both clients and team members to succeed.

Director, Growth & Strategy
Nicholas drives Bernico’s strategic direction, combining business insight with a deep understanding of SME challenges. With over 20 years of diverse experience spanning product management, business analysis, entrepreneurship, and financial planning, he bridges strategy with execution.
Having led a Retail, F&B and event business for 12 years, Nicholas understands first-hand the realities SMEs face and channels that experience into solutions that help clients work smarter, not harder.

ISO Management Systems Partner
Highly experienced ISO professional and a key member of our team, serving as Lead Assessor, Auditor, Consultant, and Trainer. With over 30 years of experience across manufacturing, production, construction, and service industries, he has held roles including Quality Management Representative, Factory/Manufacturing Manager, QA Executive, and Certification Lead.
He is a Senior Quality Management Assessor (MRCA), a certified consultant, and Lead Auditor for ISO 9000, 14000, and 45000 management systems, and a full member of the International Auditor & Training Certification Association (IATCA). Over his career, he has audited hundreds of companies annually, delivered highly rated training programs, and helped numerous organizations achieve ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certification on their first attempt.

With 20 years across Oil & Gas, retail operations, and corporate administration, in Malaysia and Singapore. Michelle knows how to keep finances accurate, vendors accountable, and offices running lean. From cutting operational costs by 30% to achieving ISO 9001 certification with zero non-conformity, she delivers measurable results, not just support.
Her expertise spans accounts payable, cost optimisation, vendor management, audit and compliance, and project coordination, backed by real results in multi-site, cross-border environments.
At Bernico Solutions, she brings that same discipline to SME clients who need reliable back-office support without the overhead of a full-time team.
